Cookie Policy

Last updated: —

This Cookie Policy explains how the site operator uses cookies and similar technologies on the MIF-CHECKOUT website and checkout. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They allow a website to recognise your device across pages and visits, remember your preferences and understand how you use the site.

2. Categories of cookies we use

CategoryPurposeRetentionRequires consent?

Marketing (if enabled)Retargeting pixels set by the merchant (Meta, Google Ads) — only if the merchant has enabled them.Up to 13 monthsYes

3. Local storage & similar technologies

We also use localStorage and sessionStorage on your browser to cache non-sensitive data such as the current cart, session id, and the merchant's theme preferences. These are cleared when you clear your browser data.

4. Managing your choices

  • Use the cookie banner shown on your first visit to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
  • You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser and reloading.
  • You can block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will break the checkout.
  • You can opt out of Google's use of cookies at adssettings.google.com.

5. Third-party cookies

MIF-CHECKOUT relies on Google Firebase for authentication, which may set cookies on the googleapis.com domain during sign-in. These are governed by Google's own policies. Where a merchant enables their own marketing pixels, those cookies are controlled by the respective third parties (Meta, Google, etc.).
